Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The worldwide success of his career has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017. It was awarded for best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was A Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He also collaborated alongside Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, released his sophomore album which was the charting Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared as a duo TINI for her hit music video Maldita Foto. 2000 saw him perform the hit song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in a household of music his mother and older brother are musicians. In his interviews, he's described his involvement in music as mandatory. As a child he learned how to play the ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. While his initial goal was becoming a veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons with one of the Cuban.
