Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress who is best well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Originating from Worthington Ohio she dropped out of high school in order to relocate into Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first role as Rachel's Room's title character the video on-demand show Rachel's Room in 2001. After earning a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder In Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to win. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She played the lead protagonist for two seasons and also won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace has worked with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, wanted to move into the world of film. She also starred as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation to the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost and the final episode. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the sixth season. She plays Faith as a girl who serves as a model for the stars and catches the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as older in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. She subsequently starred in the comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (2012). The actress also was a Secret Service Agent in White House Down the action-packed thriller released in 2013, she was a musician as Frank (2014), a musician Frank (2014), and The lead for the lead role in The Kindergarten Teacher, a drama released in 2018. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a director and writer in 2021 with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
